Noodle life, and the current predicament for affordable yet authentic cuisine in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

1st thing you need to order: Decadent Unagi udon, topped with green onion and Wakame seaweed is surprisingly filling, rich and quite tasty.
Ordering system: Order first at register, then wait at table to be served.
Arrived on a Wednesday afternoon during a bit of rain in Torrance with my Dad and brother (visiting, who lives in OR). To be completely honest I had to read the menu a few times before deciding, but upon realizing the cost (~$15 a bowl) I was confident It would be worth the cost. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with roughly 8-10 tables each seating 2-4. We enjoyed our lunch next to a few families, some office workers and some local artists from what I could tell, which is a great sign. Visit #2 already planned.

Noodle Life
I tend to eat a lot of noodles, I'm talking weekly and daily. Ramen is my absolute favorite and I also dig Tsukemen, Soba, Udon and Pasta. Adapting my own cooking techniques to preparing Ramen is a challenge. So is learning about new ingredients, trends and styles. All the same, I enjoy cooking for friends and loved ones. The first step is to become a connoisseur and possibly next a curator. But in any case, I'm just fond a good bowl of noodles.
